Boys’ basketball: Compton wins Watts Summer Games

Compton won the gold division of the Watts Summer Games basketball championship on Saturday with a 83-67 victory over Hart.

Point guard Kyron Cartwright was named tournament MVP. Guard Robert Lewis led Compton in scoring on Saturday with 27 points.

Fremont defeated Locke in the silver division championship.

Long Beach Poly and Birmingham won the girls’ championships.
