Basketball: Future Stars games produce stars

The War on the Floor Future Stars games on Saturday night at Sierra Canyon had lots of stars.

In the boys’ game for players who will be seniors, Max Hoetzel of Calabasas scored 23 points, Lewis Stallworth of Hart had 14 points, Justin Eisen of Chaminade had 13 and Jeremy Lieberman of Calabasas had 11 in the West’s 104-93 win over the East. Lieberman made four free throws in the final minute. Derick Newton of Harvard-Westlake scored 25 points and Christian Ware-Berry of Providence had 18 points.

In the boys’ game for players who will be juniors, Robbie Feinberg of Sierra Canyon had 28 points in the West’s 121-99 win. Chris Terry, who is tranferring to El Camino Real from Royal, had 24 points and 10 rebounds. Michael Alvarez of Oak Park had 21 points. Kenneth Koffi, who played at Agoura, had 21 points.

Abid Oses of Bell-Jeff had 19 points and 13 rebounds. Samson Young of Birmingham had 19 points.

In the girls’ game for players who will be juniors, Breanna Calhoun of Alemany had 15 points, 11 steals and 10 rebounds in the East’s 68-63 win over the West. Leah Purvis of Buckley added 13 points. Kennedy Burke of Sierra Canyon had 21 points and 10 rebounds.

In the girls’ game for players who will be seniors, Adaora Obi of Alemany scored 10 points and had 10 rebounds in the East’s 80-57 win over the West. Whitney Branham of West Ranch had 11 points.

Kailee Severt of Oaks Christian finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
