Baseball: First-round picks Dominic Smith, JP Crawford reach agreements

First-round draft picks Dominic Smith from Gardena Serra and JP Crawford from Lakewood have reached agreements with the clubs that drafted them, according to Jim Callis of Baseball America.

Smith, a first baseman chosen by the New York Mets, will get a $2.6 million signing bonus. Crawford, a shortstop chosen by the Philadelphia Phillies, will sign for $2,299,300.
