Baseball: Big day for Avila family and Narbonne

What a day it was on Saturday for the Avila family and the Narbonne baseball program.

Cousins Juan Avila and Carlos Avila, both Narbonne graduates, were taken in the baseball draft. Juan, a 2009 grad, was taken by the Miami Marlins in the 20th round. Carlos, a 2008 grad, was chosen in the 32nd round by the Minnesota Twins.

‘It’s a special day for Narbonne baseball,’ Coach Bill Dillon said.
