Volleyball: Zana Muno has attention of Pepperdine, UCLA

Pepperdine and UCLA have emerged as strong contenders in the recruiting battle for Zana Muno, the outstanding beach volleyball and indoor volleyball standout from Sherman Oaks Notre Dame who’s only a sophomore.

But her father, Larry, a former high school head football coach, is pushing her to consider Alabama.

Of course, he’s only joking. He wants a trip to Alabama to watch some college football.

Muno is also running track for the Knights and plays soccer. It’s hard to believe she still has two years of high school remaining.
