So far, so good for the state’s leading hurdler, Reginald Bell of Dorsey. He won his 110 heat in 14.24 seconds at Thursday night’s City Section prelims at Birmingham High.

He’ll be back at Birmingham for the City Section championships on Wednesday night.

Palisades sophomore Marissa Williams was the top qualifier in the girls’ 1,600 (5:00.54) and 3,200 (10:44.24). She and teammate Kendall Gustafson, who qualified in four individual events, will try to lead the Dolphins to a girls’ title.
