Michigan's softball team is 41-9 overall and 13-0 in the Big Ten, and a contingent of Southern California players is making an impact for the Wolverines.

They include outfielder Nicole Sappingfield (Norco), pitcher Haylie Wagner (El Modena), catcher Lauren Sweet (Corona Santiago) and shortstop Sierra Romero (Vista Murrieta).

Romero is hitting .392 with 21 home runs and 63 RBIs.

Wagner is 17-2 with a 2.29 ERA.
