Football: Lineman Joe Salcedo is intriguing college prospect

College football recruiters are trying to figure out just how excited they should get about 6-foot-6, 265-pound senior-to-be offensive lineman Joe Salcedo from Santa Barbara Bishop Diego.

He’s going to be playing this fall as a 16-year-old senior. He has a 4.0 grade-point average. He was a first-team all-Tri-Valley League selection last season.

Nevada and San Diego State recently made scholarship offers.
