Fire, air quality issues force Marmonte League postponements

May 3, 2013 |  4:16 pm

The Marmonte League track and field championships on Friday were postponed until Monday at Moorpark because of air quality issues with the brush fires in Ventura County.

Also postponed were Marmonte League baseball games between Agoura-Simi Valely, Calabasas-Royal, Thousand Oaks-Moorpark and Newbury Park-Westlake.

The Moorpark-Thousand Oaks baseball game will be played on Monday at 3:30 p.m. at Moorpark. The postponement means Moorpark can come back with ace Sean Barry.

The Simi Valley-Agoura game will be played Monday at Agoura. Agoura needs a victory to clinch the league title.
