Basketball: Tanner Fanjoy is MVP in all-star game

Tanner Fanjoy from Thousand Oaks made five three-pointers and finished with 17 points to help the West defeat the East, 97-90, in the Battle of the Valley all-star boys' basketball game on Saturday night at Valley College. He was named game MVP.

KJ Moffett of Alemany had 16 points and won the halftime dunk contest. London Perrantes of Crespi had seven points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. Jaron Martin from Chaminade scored 21 points for the East team.

In the girls' game, the West defeated the East, 73-49. Nicolle Aston of Louisville was named MVP. She scored 10 points and had 16 rebounds.
