Former Harvard-Westlake left-hander Max Fried, one of the top prospects in the San Diego Padres organization, threw 5 2/3 innings of no-hit ball for the Fort Wayne TinCaps on Thursday night and combined with three other pitchers to throw a no-hitter in a 1-0 victory over Great Lakes.

Fried was greeted with shaving cream in celebration. His friends will laugh, because Fried has never grown a beard in his life.
