Baseball: Loyola has 5-3 lead over Marina in D1 semifinal

A five-run second inning that featured five consecutive hits has given Loyola a 5-3 lead over Marina after three innings of the Southern Section Division 1 semifinal at Blair Field.
Joe Viole had a two-run sinle and Brandon Caruso had an RBI single in the second for the Cubs. Nathan Hadley has struck out five in three innings.
The winner advances to Friday’s 8 p.m. championship game at Dodger Stadium.
