Baseball: Cypress advances to Division 2 final

Trevor Hall got a game-inning double play to finish off his complete-game performance and enable Cypress to defeat Vista Murrieta, 2-1, in a Southern Section Division 2 semifinal.
Elijah Skipps scored the winning run in the seventh, getting a two-out double, stealing third and scoring on an error.
Hall and Vista Murrieta’s Tyler Russell each threw complete games without issuing a single walk. Skipps and Steven Andrade each had two hits.
Cypress will play Temecula Valley in Friday’s 5 p.m. final at Dodger Stadium. Temecula Valley defeated Los Osos, 3-2.
