Brian Felten, the outgoing baseball coach at Loyola, was arrested Wednesday morning on suspicion of spousal abuse, according to a report in the Daily News.

A call came in at 2:20 a.m. in his home in the Westchester area, said LAPD spokesman Richard French. No ambulance was called to the home. He posted $50,000 bail and was released from LAPD custody. He is due back in court on May 31st.

Felten did not coach Loyola on Thursday in a 9-3 Mission League loss against Chaminade that the Cubs needed to win to clinch a league championship.

Felten has been at Loyola for eight years. He was told earlier this year that his contract would not be renewed.
