Softball: Historic day for Dorsey and Deijenee Nelson

Later this week, Deijenee Nelson, a senior shortstop at Dorsey, will become the first softball player in school history to sign a letter of intent with a college program, according to Coach Irvin Davis.

She will sign with Fisk University, an NAIA school in Nashville, Tn.

Nelson is batting .545 with four home runs. She has hit over .500 in all four years on varsity.

She will appear on the SoCal Prep Report on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. on LA36.
