Football: The USC connection is emerging at Loyola

April 14, 2013 |  8:06 am

Former USC assistant coach Marvin Sanders is pulling in some of his Trojan friends to help him coach at Los Angeles Loyola.

Kennedy Polamalu, whose son, Trey, is a freshman quarterback at Loyola, will coach running backs. Lenny Vandermade, a former Mater Dei and USC lineman, will coach the offensive line. Justin Mesa, who was a grad assistant at USC, will be the offensive coordinator.

Sanders is preparing the Cubs for spring practice and will continue the summer seven on seven passing tournaments held by his predecessors on Wednesday nights in June.
