Football: Remembering Oscar Cabrera

A funeral service was held Thursday for Oscar Cabrera, the former Los Angeles Franklin High and UCLA lineman who died on Friday of complications from cancer. He was 35.

Cabrera was captain of the 2000 UCLA football team. He was a three-sport standout at Franklin, helping the Panthers win a City 3A championship in baseball in 1994.

He is survived by his wife and three sons.
