Defending City Section Division I champion Harbor City Narbonne won’t be hurting at the quarterback position after the graduation of two-time City player of the year Troy Williams.

Eban Jackson transferred in from Long Beach Poly, and he has the skills to be a productive runner and passer in Narbonne’s offensive scheme.

‘He looks good,’ Coach Manuel Douglas said. ‘I see good improvement, and he’s a smart kid. He’s a guy who’s been in big games.’

Narbonne graduated lots of top players, but the Gauchos will be a City title contender. Talented running back Johnell Jackson is back, along with several offensive and defensive linemen and a couple of defensive backs.

Jackson, who shared quarterback duties at Poly, has lots of potential for the Gauchos.
