Crenshaw Coach Robert Garrett sure can’t be accused of hiding from good competition.

The Cougars have finalized their nonleague schedule, and it’s more than challenging.

First up is a road game on Aug. 30 against Long Beach Poly at Veterans Stadium in Long Beach. Then the Cougars play Loyola at Mission Viejo on Sept. 13, play at Fresno Edison on Sept. 20, host Oaks Christian on Sept. 27 and play at St. John Bosco on Oct. 4.

Crenshaw returns quarterback Ajene Harris, who’s 6 feet tall and has one of the strongest arms in the City Section.

‘He can play anywhere,’ Garrett said.
