An intriguing basketball prospect for this spring is 6-foot-8 senior to be Max Hoetzel of Calabasas.
Coaches from Cal State Northridge, Pacific and UC Davis dropped by Calabasas on Wednesday to observe Hoetzel, who has an offer from San Diego.
He can shoot from long range and is working in the weight room to improve his strength and inside skills.
