There’s still three games left in the Trinity League season, but Santa Ana Mater Dei has already clinched the championship after a 2-1 win over Orange Lutheran on Tuesday night. The Monarchs scored the winning run on an error in the seventh.

Mater Dei (22-1, 12-0) has won 22 consecutive games since a season-opening 1-0 loss to Stockton St. Mary’s.

Pitching has been the key for the Monarchs. Davis Tominaga threw a complete game. Ryan McMahon had an RBI double.

Garett King went into the seventh for Orange Lutheran, striking out five.
