It was a busy day in the Righetti tournament for Encino Crespi, which lost to Scotts Valley, 6-3, but won a protest, then defeated Righetti, 11-1, behind Andy Frakes, who threw a three-hitter.

Coach Scott Muckey said his No. 9 hitter, Diego Harris, got a single against Scotts Valley but was declared out by the umpire after the lineup card had Harris listed wearing No. 40 while he was wearing No. 13.

Muckey protested that what matters is the player’s name is correct, not his number. And he won that protest after the game.

Nico Lima had two doubles and four RBIs against Righetti.
