Baseball: Sean Barry lifts Moorpark past Agoura

 Sean Barry struck out 10 and threw a two-hitter to help Moorpark defeat Agoura, 4-1, in a Marmonte League game. The Musketeers (18-5, 6-3) pulled to within one game of the first-place Chargers (14-8, 7-2).

Barry (8-1) outdueled Agoura ace Henry Baker.

Ricky Davis had three hits and Anthony Schirtz had three RBIs in Newbury Park's 9-4 win over Royal. Westlake defeated Calabasas, 8-2. Tyler Flores went three for three. Matt Campbell had three hits and four RBIs in Simi Valley's 8-3 win over Thousand Oaks. Wyatt Hogan added two doubles.

No. 3-ranked Anaheim Canyon lost its second consecutive Century League game, falling to Esperanza, 3-0. Dominic Potlongo threw a three-hitter, striking out two and walking none. Scott Serigstad of El Dorado struck out 16 in a 4-0 win over Villa Park.

Fountain Valley is 20-1 after an 8-5 win over Newport Harbor in the Sunset League.

In the Golden League, Quartz Hill defeated Lancaster, 10-2. Ty Boyles had three hits and three RBIs. Tyler Pittmon had two RBI singles.

In the Tri-Valley League, Oaks Christian defeated Nordhoff, 12-3. Cole Taylor went four for five with four RBIs. Brandon Evans added two hits and two RBIs.

There's now four teams battling for first place in the Foothill League, all with three losses.In the Foothill Canyon Country Canyon (6-3) defeated Hart, 6-5, in eight innings. Saugus (5-3) defeated Golden Valley, 13-6. Nick Warren, Chris Devery and Roy Verdejo hit home runs. Valencia (5-3) defeated West Ranch (5-3), 6-0. JD Busfield struck out eight. Chad Bible had a home run and three RBIs.

In the South Coast League, Dan James had a three-run double in El Toro's 9-1 win over Mission Viejo. Gavin Collins and Logan Roberts hit home runs.

In the Empire League, Tustin defeated Cypress, 9-5. Andrew Natividad had four hits and Andrew Magana added three hits and three RBIs for Tustin. David Fletcher finished with four hits for Cypress.

In the Pacific Coast League, Alex Shenasi had two hits in Beckman's 3-2 win over Corona del Mar.

In the Baseline League, Glendora defeated Upland, 4-2. Scott Burke struck out nine. Connor Grady had three RBIs. Los Osos defeated Alta Loma, 3-2. Los Osos (6-2) and Glendora (6-2) are tied for first place. .

In the Sunset League, Marina defeated Huntington Beach, 7-2.

In the Sea View League, San Clemente defeated San Juan Hills, 4-0.

Malibu (16-3, 7-1) defeated Santa Clara, 4-1. Noah Simon (7-1) struck out six in a complete game. Freshman Dylan Ross had three hits. Crescenta Valley defeated Glendale, 5-3. Ted Boeke threw three scoreless innings of relief

Great Oak defeated Vista Murrieta, 6-5.
