Track: Olympians training at San Pedro High this week

Bobby Kersee, one of the top track and field coaches in America, is bringing his group of world-class athletes to his alm mater, San Pedro High, this week to train and show off his old stomping grounds.

San Pedro Coach Bruce Thomson said Kersee and his athletes that include Olympians Allyson Felix and Dawn Harper are scheduled to train from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

San Pedro has its own set of top track performers, led by Brandon Towns, who ran the 800 meters in 1:55 last week and has a personal best of 1:54.51.
