‘It was an OK day,’ Muhammad said. ‘My main goal is to get ready for the state meet. Arcadia is just another road block. The key is stay healthy and be able to finish the season.’

Among other top performances in San Diego, Crespi’s Amir Patterson recorded marks of 59-6 1/2 in the shot put and 179-10 in the discus and Crespi’s Brandon Embody cleared 15-8 in the pole vault. Harvard-Westlake freshman Courtney Corrin had the No. 1 legal girls’ long jump in the nation this year with a mark of 19-9 3/4.

At the Pasadena Games, Palisades sophomore Marissa Williams won the 1,600 in a meet record time of 4:52.56.
