Soccer: City Section is showing its strength

March 7, 2013 |  5:48 pm

When it comes to soccer, City Section teams can play against anybody.

The El Camino Real girls' team and the Sun Valley boys' team each advanced to Southern California Regional championship games  with 1-0 victories.

El Camino Real, which won its 12th City Section championship last week, defeated Downey in the Division I girls' semifinal on a goal by Alex Marquez. Sun Valley defeated Farmersville in Division III boys.

Canoga Park will play in Friday's Division II boys' final.
