Servite mourns the passing of Father Edward Penonzek
Anaheim Servite is mourning the loss of its longtime football chaplain, Father Edward Penonzek, known as Father Ed, who passed on Friday. He was 80.
“There was no greater honor than having Fr. Ed set our hearts in the right direction,” said Ivory Sully, associate football coach, in a statement released by the school. “He always set us on a path that was correct; the Lord was always at the center.”
He was ordained to the priesthood in 1958.
