San Fernando is proud of its newest athletic star

March 7, 2013 | 12:49 pm

As Jonny Parada walked around San Fernando High earlier this week, he was receiving congratulations for becoming the first wrestler in City Section history to win a state championship.

He won the 126-pound division in Bakersfield last week. The event has been held since 1973.

San Fernando is the school that produced Heisman Trophy winner Charles White and the versatile Anthony Davis.

Now Parada has a special place in San Fernando history.

Here's the link to a profile on Parada.
