The Eagles were led by Cassie MacLeod, who had 12 points and six rebounds. Valerie Higgins added 11 points and five rebounds.

After a tightly fought first half, Alemany pulled away in the third quarter, outscoring Chaminade, 16-11, to take a seven point lead to the fourth quarter.

‘We were talking to each other [at halftime] and we said we need to pick it up on defense,’ Johnson said.

Alemany was sent to the free throw line 35 times (they made 19). Chaminade only had nine free throw attempts, making six of them.

The Warriors will make their first state finals appearance since 1998.
