Boys’ basketball: Westchester has 32-26 halftime lead

Westchester made six three-pointers in the first half to come away with a 32-26 halftime lead over El Camino Real in the City Section Division I final.
The Conquistadores have struggled to get two of their top players, Michael Thomas and Maleke Haynes, into the game on offense. Thomas has two points and Haynes just one.
Nick Reese has scored six points for Westchester. Myles Stewart has made a pair of threes. Elijah Stewart has seven points. The Comets’ leading scorer, Matthew Grant, has three points.
Update: There were 20 fouls called in third quarter. Westchester didn’t score a basket but made 10 free throws. Game is tied, 42-42.
