Boys' basketball: View Park is a team on the rise with its twin towers

There's going to be lots of college basketball recruiters paying attention to Los Angeles View Park Prep, because the Knights have a pair of 6-foot-11 sophomores in Chance Comanche and Brodricks Jones.

They've helped lead View Park into the CIF Southern California Division V semifinals. View Park plays at San Diego Horizon on Tuesday. The other semifinal has San Gabriel Academy playing Sherman Oaks Buckley.

Comanche is averaging 12.7 points and 14.3 rebounds. Jones is averaging 10.2 points and 11.3 rebounds. Both played at St. Bernard as freshmen.

"It's a privilege to have two 6-11 young men who are in position to keep growing as individuals and basketball players," Coach Harold Jones said.

Comanche and Jones will be guests on the SoCal Prep Report on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. on LA36 and at 6:30 p.m. on Friday on KLCS.
