Boys’ basketball: Stanley Johnson has 26 points; Mater Dei leads

Stanley Johnson, getting hot from three-point range, has 26 points through three quarters, and Santa Ana Mater Dei leads San Jose Mitty, 38-30, through three quarters of the CIF state championship Open Division final in Sacramento.
He has made five of nine shots from three-point range. What’s stunning is that Mater Dei is 10 of 41 shooting as a team. Elijah Brown is one for 10. Jordan Strawberry is one for six.
Aaron Gordon has 16 points and 14 rebounds but three fouls for Mitty.
