Boys' basketball: Santa Monica up 28-13 at halftime

After an even first quarter Santa Monica seized command in the second, outscoring El Toro 20-5 to take a 28-13 lead at halftime of the Southern Section Division 1A final at the Anaheim Convention Center. 

Top scorer Jordan Mathews has made only one of seven field goals and has three points, but Trevis Jackson has 10 points for the Vikings.

Cody White has six points for El Toro.
