Hometown favorite Pleasant Grove is treating its fan to a happy night of basketball. The Eagles lead Santa Monica, 56-40, after three quarters in the CIF state championship Division I final at Sleep Train Arena.

Santa Monica has struggled trying to get Jordan Mathews involved in the game. He has been slowed by bruises to his back and knee. He has gone back into the game in the fourth quarter.
