Boys’ basketball: Mater Dei has 24-22 halftime lead

The CIF state championship Open Division final is living up to the individual duel matching Mater Dei’s Stanley Johnson against Mitty’s Aaron Gordon.

Johnson has scored 17 points and had six rebounds. He made three three-pointers. Gordon has 13 points and 11 rebounds. Mater Dei leads at halftime, 24-22. Mater Dei shot 26% as a team. Mitty had nine turnovers.
