Etiwanda is eight minutes away from its second consecutive upset.

The Eagles are leading Mater Dei, the No. 1 team in California, by 13 points heading into the fourth quarter of the Southern Section Division 1AA championship game.

Etiwanda eliminated the state’s second-ranked team, Long Beach Poly, in the semifinals.
