Boys’ basketball: El Toro trails going into last quarter

Santa Monica has a 41-29 lead over top-seeded El Toro with one quarter remaining in the Southern Section Division 1A championship game at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Trevis Jackson has 15 points for the second-seeded Vikings.

El Toro will need a big fourth quarter to avoid the upset. No player has more than six points for the Chargers.
