Boys' basketball: Chaminade trails 39-33 at halftime

Chaminade outscored St. John Bosco 16-11 in the second quarter and trails 39-33 at halftime of the Southern Section Division 3A final at the Anaheim Convention Center. 

Tyler Dorsey has 14 points, Isaac Hamilton has 12 and younger brother Daniel Hamilton has seven points and five assists for St. John Bosco. The Braves led 28-17 after the first quarter.

Chaminade looked overmatched in the first quarter but has rallied behind freshman center Trevor Stanback, who scored six of his eight points in the second quarter. Jaron Martin and Jack Williams each have nine points for the Eagles.
