Boys' basketball: Bryan Alberts leads Village Christian to win

Junior guard Bryan Alberts scored 28 points to help Village Christian overcome some early hot shooting by Flintridge Prep and come away with a 60-51 first-round Division V state playoff victory.

Robert Cartwright scored 19 points for Flintridge Prep, which made seven three-pointers in the first quarter and had 11 baskets but made only five baskets the rest of the game.

Village Christian will play View Park Prep in Saturday's second-round game.
