On Saturdays and Sundays at Hollywood High, there’s an adult basketball league, the JBL Pro-Am League, that features former college standouts and even some rappers who think they can play the game. NBA analyst Jalen Rose is playing in the league.

Burrel Lee, the St. John Bosco director of basketball operations, has put together a team of graduating high school seniors to take on the oldtimers.

It’s called Team Muscle Milk/Buzz Elite.

Among the players are Kris Yanku from Taft, Jordan Mathews from Santa Monica, Jordan Bell from Long Beach Poly, Brandon Randolph from Inglewood, Isaac Hamilton from St. John Bosco, Chance Murray from Price, Trey Mason from Loyola, Lamond Murray Jr. from Bishop Montgomery, Michael Thomas from El Camino Real, Leland King from Brentwood, Tim Myles from Etiwanda and Kyle Benton from St. Anthony.

Even singer Chris Brown’s team could have trouble against Buzz Elite.
