Baseball: Ted Boeke throws no-hitter in Crescenta Valley sweep

Under the lights at USC on Tuesday night, Ted Boeke of Crescenta Valley threw a no-hitter in a 1-0 victory over Los Angeles Loyola, giving the Falcons a doubleheader sweep of the Cubs. Earlier, Crescenta Valley won, 2-1.

Michael Russo drove in the game's only run in the sixth ining. That was Boeke scoring the winning run after hitting a double.

Boeke and Nathan Hadley of Loyola hooked up in a pitcher's duel.
