March 29, 2013 |  6:51 am

They've got more than just surfers at Malibu High. The baseball team is 14-1 after going 5-0 in their division of the San Diego Lions tournament and winning the championship with a 5-0 semifinal victory over Sweetwater and a 14-0 win over High Tech.

The Sharks came through with some impressive individual performances. Chase Lambert, the junior shortstop-pitcher, struck out 14 in 5 1/3 innings of relief. He also went 13 for 22 with six RBIs, including a five for five performance against Morse.

Alvaro Alvarado went nine for 18 with six doubles. Sophomore Bronson Bard went nine for 17 with seven RBIs.

Junior Noah Simon and junior Miles Tade combined for the shutout in the championship game.

Malibu will get a good test next Friday from Santa Monica.
