Junior pitcher Jack Flaherty of Studio City Harvard-Westlake is committed to attend the University of North Carolina, and those who wanted to get a sneak preview of what Flaherty might offer had the chance on Wednesday in his first start of the National High School Invitational in Cary, N.C.

All Flaherty did was strike out 15 in Harvard-Westlake’s 3-0 win over Florida Eustis. He allowed two hits. Brian Ginsberg had two hits for the Wolverines. Michael Vokulich, Jackson Grayson and Ezra Steinberg each had RBIs.
