Baseball: Jack Flaherty receives MVP honors in Easton tourney

Harvard-Westlake’s Jack Flaherty has been named MVP of the Easton tournament after leading the Wolverines to five consecutive victories and the championship. Flaherty threw a no-hitter against Valencia in the semifinals.

Among the all-tournament selections: Myles Hager of Chaminade had 10 hits; Nick Warren of Saugus went nine for 13; Ty Boyles of Quartz Hill had 17 stikeouts in 14 innings; Quinn Brodey of Loyola gave up one earned run in 11 innings; Luke Soroko of Valencia threw 12 scoreless innings; Taylor Campos of Simi Valley went nine for 17; Gabe Speier of Dos Pueblos gave up one earned run in 11 2/3 innings.

Sean Barry of Moorpark went 3-0 with 35 strikeouts; Albee Weiss of Agoura hit .588.
