Baseball: Is Sean Barry this year's Luke Eubank?

March 11, 2013 |  7:15 am

A year ago, pitcher Luke Eubank of Newbury Park came out of nowhere to become a dominant pitcher and led the Panthers to the Southern Section Division 1 championship.

Now there's another pitcher from the Marmonte League showing early signs of dominant form.

Senior Sean Barry of Moorpark is 3-0 and has 35 strikeouts in 19 innings while allowing just six hits and one run. He signed with High Point University in North Carolina.

Eubank has moved on to Western Nevada JC and is 1-2 with a 2.96 ERA. He has six saves.
