Baseball: Greg Venger to step down as Cleveland coach

At the conclusion of the 2013 prep baseball season, Reseda Cleveland Coach Greg Venger said he will resign after seven years as coach to spend more time with his family.

Assistant Robert Marcial, a former Cleveland player, is a top candidate to succeed Venger.

Cleveland is 6-4 this season and expected to battle Chatsworth and El Camino Real for the West Valley League championship.
