Girls' soccer: Fulton College Prep has a sophomore star in Esmeralda Uribe

February 4, 2013 |  7:46 am

There's no doubt when it comes to girls' soccer in the City Section, one of the best players is sophomore Esmeralda Uribe of Fulton College Prep.

Entering last week's competition, she had 26 goals in 17 games with nine assists.

She has helped make Fulton one of the top teams in City Section Division III.

"She's quite a sight to see," Coach Carmen Aybar said. "She dribbles through people like they're cones."

The City pairings will be decided on Saturday. Each of the three divisions will have 20 playoff teams.
