Girls' basketball: Windward leads 47-23 at halftime

So far, the marquee matchup of Wednesday's Southern Section championship games has been a mismatch. 

Determined to avenge a triple overtime loss in last year's final, Windward is running past Gardena Serra 47-23 at halftime of the Division 4AA final at the Anaheim Convention Center. 

Emily Surhoff is five of seven from three-point range and leads the top-seeded Wildcats with 21 points. Deandrea Toler has 14 points for third-seeded Serra.
