Girls’ basketball: Western League title to be decided on Tuesday

The Western League championship in girls’ basketball will be decided on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. when Fairfax (19-5, 9-1) plays host to Westchester (22-6, 8-1).

Fairfax competes in City Section Division I. Westchester is in Division II. The winner will help its seeding for the playoffs.

Ahteana Jones leads Westchester with a 15.8 scoring average. John’ea Thompson is averaging 15.2 points for Fairfax.

The game is scheduled to be shown by Time Warner Cable on Saturday at 7 p.m.
