Girls' basketball: L.A. Windward improves to 28-0

A long bus trip to Morro Bay had no effect on unbeaten Los Angeles Windward, which improved to 28-0 on Wednesday after a 71-23 victory over Morro Bay in a quarterfinal game of the Southern Section 4AA girls' basketball playoffs.

Sophomore Emily Surloff led the Wildcats with 20 points. Kristen Simon had 16 points and 13 rebounds.
